Talofa, Hafa Adai, Aloha, Kumusta, Malo e lelei, Ran annim, Kia Orana, Bula, Kia ora, Ia orana, and Hello, VOPIN Family!
In a capitalist society, many believe that possessing more wealth equates to being a better person. The recent changes in our government have significantly impacted nonprofit organizations across the country, particularly affecting marginalized communities. However, during times of change, the true character of a community is revealed.
As Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal... The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Nothing worthwhile is easy. Your ability to overcome unfavorable situations will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your true strength and determination for success."
VOPIN remains dedicated to its mission of serving our youth and their families. We firmly believe that education is the great equalizer in a just society. Our Navigating Education program, which is part of the Youth and Young Adults Services department, continues to offer culturally relevant services and resources to help our children/students and families thrive in this American journey.
A thriving nation promotes equal opportunities, upholds justice, fosters creativity, and invests in its people. Our children/students at Mt. View Middle School and Bremerton High School, along with their families, are facing challenges that affect their lives. Nevertheless, the VOPIN team will continue to support our community, working alongside our collaborative partners and stakeholders to ensure the success of everyone.
Our partnership with Olympic Connect has been crucial in enhancing our ability to serve as a vital link to essential resources for the Kitsap Community. This collaboration goes beyond a typical partnership; it serves as a lifeline for many individuals we support, connecting them with the resources necessary to improve their lives.
Through this initiative, we have enhanced our case management services, ensuring that individuals and families receive comprehensive and culturally appropriate support. These efforts continue to promote equity and build resilience throughout Kitsap County.
In these uncertain times, it's vital to unite and support our children, students, and families. Your support is more crucial now than ever.
Get involved: Volunteer your time, expertise, or resources. Every bit of help adds to our community's strength.
Donate: Your contributions sustain our programs and allow us to reach more individuals in need.
Spread the Word: Share our mission with your network. Awareness is a powerful tool for change.
Despite the uncertainties we encounter, we remain optimistic about the future. The challenges we face only strengthen us, and with your continued support, we will continue making progress toward a brighter and more inclusive future for all our community members.
We are truly grateful for your dedication to VOPIN's mission. Your support empowers us to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and impact, allowing us to continue our important work.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The VOPIN Team
